Cycle day

Route taken

While coming back from morning walk we saw that people are getting ready for cycle race. got Ishaan and Saanvi ready quickly. Bittu was also ready and I took them to Nandi gardens. I had thought that it will be a small distance cycling for kids and I would just run behind them to assist them.

Race started and soon Ishaan and Bittu were cycling fast with others and I could not catch them. I thought of taking a short cut, Saanvi came to me and says shes is very tired. Before I could speak to her, both of them disappeared among other cyclists.

I came back to Nandi garden found bittu there, Ishaan was no where, I had called Archana to pickup Saanvi and also to search Ishaan. He was not to be found. We started searching for him frantically. Archana went back to HMWC and Ishaan was sitting there. He had cycled more than 5 kms and went alone to our apartment. All he said was " Mummy..... I am first :) "

Bittu - Breaks not working

Ishaan's summer holidays have started and Saanvi's exam are going on. They spent good time on weekend playing with Lego. Here is what they came up with.

Spring colour flowers of Bangalore

It is the time of the year when Bangalore is decorated with these flowers in Yellow, Purple and Pink. These trees will be so full of flowers that leaves are not visible. This is one of the best things that Bangalore has to offer if we have have a second to look and appreciate the beauty.

Archu's Birthday

Archu's birthday fell on Sunday morning and a surprise was waiting for her during the walk.

Phone kept ringing throughout the day with wishes pouring in from everywhere. Lots of wishes were also from whatsapp and Facebook. Luckily kadadevarmath mama and Hiremath uncle also visited us in the afternoon. Pooja, Mohan mama had also come.

Sunday Morning walk

Every Sunday morning we go for a long walk of about 11.5 kms. We go through Anjanapura layout touch the nice road and come back. Atul , Kannan and Neeraj sirs are the most regular ones, they have been doing this for more than a year now.

This is the route and disctance etc.

Sunday morning walk is great in many ways. It is early in the morning and you get fresh air. The route is excellent. You get to see the sunrise and the best part is that you get tired and happy.

Holi 2015

We had two Holi celebrations this year, one with SSBJ gang and other at HMWC. On the evening of holi, we all went to Rakya and Jyoti's house for playing colour and dinner. As usual there were lot of shenga topic discussions, fun and colours that ended with dinner.

Now Holi @ HMWC, holi was near and there were no mails from cultural committee. We thought there will not be any holi celebrations this year in HMWC. Ram and Yatendra took the matter into their own hands and organized the event with the help of few other volunteers. Archana also arranged a few things. Finally Holi was celebrated on the weekend. There were lots of colours, water, thandai and everyone had a great time. Food was arranged too.

Ishaan enjoyed playing with water a lot. We had bought two water guns a big one and a small one. Stubborn ishaan kept on crying until he got the big one.. as usual Saanvi had to sacrifice. Hope this trend ends in a year or two.

In the evening Atul and Vidushi had organized a pani puri/chat party. Homemade delicious Pani puri from this Atul's house is famous in HMWC.
