HMWC Marathon 2015

They came up with a noble idea and executed it to perfection.

It all started with a plan to organize a mini marathon in HMWC on the occasion of republic day.

Team started its work by making the community aware. Initial response was luke warm and hence they had a target of around 50-75 people participating and charity collection of around Rs 5000.

 Soon the number of people crossed 80 and then it reached nearly 150. They beat their own charity contribution target by 4 times and could collect Rs20000 for FAME India. All this without dipping into any cultural committee fund.

Everyone enjoyed the event and participated enthusiastically. There was overwhelming response for 5KM Marathon. Most of the people started with 3KM in mind and completed 5KM. Everyone from children to senior citizens were extremely happy with a sense of achievement.

Another successful event

The team completed another event successfully. They complement each other with their strengths.

Rebulicans team has organized many events since the time they started the cultural committee activities in HMWC. Right from the day when funds were scarce to starting the trend for Mega New year celebrations, they have done it all.

Aanvi's naming ceremony

Akshay and Priyanka were blessed with a cute daughter on Dec 15th.

Naming ceremony was held on 21st Jan in Nippani.

Ishaan calls her "my new stister", he is happy that he is no more the youngest and also that Aanvi will call him Dada.

Yeh Dosti .. Hum Nahi Chodenge

Ishaan's best friend is Girik. Everyone calls him bittu. Both play all day during holidays till late in the evening. Both of them cycle pretty well.  

Yet to complete 5 Years and he can ride Saanvi's  cycle which is much bigger than this

They spend lot of time in the play area and they like playing with the sand. They like playing with Lego blocks and also hot wheels. 

Their current favourite android game is plants and zombies,  I am amazed by the way they play this game with such ease.

Vaibhavi breaks her hand ..... AGAIN

Little Vaibhavi had a small accident while playing in her apartment.She had a fracture in her left hand. Few years back she had fractured her right hand.

She still has enough energy to run with that plastered hand and play with her friends.

Ishaan's favourite is Vaibhavi 

Ishaan will not leave any stone unturned to trouble vaibhavi. So much so that when Ishaan is at school, Vaibhavi counts the time till when she has freedom :). Here too he was throwing dupatta around to disturb the camera.

We had second round dinner at Pooja's home with Bijapur special - Bhajji palya and shenga holgi.

New Year Celebrations at HMWC

The CC team had made nice arrangements for the new year. They had raised the bar again and every year the celebrations are better and bigger. Except for last year which was a dampener.

This year I did not participate in the Men dance. Ishaan and Saanvi participated in the kids dances and Archana participated in the fashion show.

 Ishaan has improved a lot in 2014. He has made a few friends. His best friend is Girik (Bittu). He rides cycle like crazy. Will make a separate post on that.

We celebrated new year eve at Rakesh and Jyoti's Place. They had made nice arrangements.
